Amazon is planning to use AI-equipped cameras to surveil deliveries drivers on their routes, The Information has reported. The “Driveri” camera and software platform, supplied by a company called Netradyne (yep) can detect and warn drivers about road violations or poor driver practices.

It’s not certain how many warehouses are using the cameras, although Whole Foods is also expected to replace thermometer checks with cameras at its stores. The move likely won’t completely assuage fears that warehouse staff might infect each other with the virus.
